Surrounded by 150 year old pine and sycamore trees, this fine example of Italianate architecture with Gothic Revival influence will bring you back in time to the more relaxed atmosphere of the 1800`s. Blake House Inn was one of the beautiful summer homes built by wealthy low-lenders to take advantage of the cool summer breezes in the mountains of North Carolina. Blake House Inn boasts of 22″ thick granite walls, 12` high ceilings, original plaster moldings from England and original woodwork. There are seven fireplaces and five spacious guestrooms all with private baths. The newly constructed Carriage House has a lovely king suite.

Working cattle ranch in the beautiful Carson Valley. Incredible views from all rooms. Western hospitality. Pond and gardens surround the house; 100-year-old hay fields dotted with beef cattle shadowed by Job’s Peak, 9000ft. plus of Sierra Nevada beauty. 15 minutes from Lake Tahoe, less than one hour to Reno. Each room is comfortably furnished and includes dish TV, DVD player, overhead fans, roomy closets with ironing board, full-length mirrors, terry robes for a trip to the hot tub for star-gazing. Chat with my father, Knox, born and raised in Gardnerville -actually right next door - and hear about ranching in Carson Valley, the growth of Lake Tahoe (his family homesteaded at Lake Tahoe in the early 1900`s). Bring your horse and ride the 200 plus acres - the West Fork of the Carson River runs through it - or walk, bike, jog. Lots of birds and fresh air. .

Some rooms have use of kitchens, all have small fridge’s microwave and coffee pots with supplies and TV one channel. All have private shower baths, and rooms are clean. We serve a world renown breakfast, we serve 122 year old starter of pancakes, plus. Mountains rivers and lakes, Salmon world class fishing, many activities. We have BBQ’s table’s Rooms have good beds, can accommodate about 26 people, Outdoor smoking.)One room has a fireplace, rest have heat and ceiling fans. Breakfast in home, 15 years in the business, known world wide. We make arrangements for tours, what ever we can do to help. We have a Wedding Chapel, Minister on grounds. No pets in rooms. A sumptuous continental breakfast is served in the dining room with a wonderful atmosphere. The InnKeeper is located in the heart of the historic district, and off street parking is provided at no charge. We can accommodate 8 people.

Its 15 units, including 3-2bedroom suites for families and friends, are all comfortably climate controlled and each has its own private bath. Rooms have queen size beds and are furnished with turn of the century antiques. The newly created Bell Tower Lakeview Suite is our premiere experience. A king sized four poster bed with pillow top mattress and fireplace sitting area all with views of the lake. Take your private oak staircase to the observation tower. The InnKeeper has a sauna and the largest hot tub in town. Each morning awaken to the aromas of a gourmet breakfast. Whether its hiking, fishing, boating, cross-country or downhill skiing, whatever the season, we have it all.
